What is HD Aluminum Art?

Sublimation onto HD aluminum is a new, cutting edge, way to reproduce an image from paper onto metal, and turn it into a work of art.

The sharp colors and clarity come from dyes that are infused beneath the exterior coating. This makes it more durable than traditional paper and canvas art. Plus, it is water resistant, unlike paper and canvas.
Each HD Aluminum has a special coating that ensures an ultra-smooth surface with a high-resolution, glossy finish or a high-resolution matte finish based on the HD aluminum selected. We offer two options for customers.
The best part is no glass! This allows for easier shipping and a safer wall art concept.
HD Aluminum Art is simple to clean with a microfiber cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.

How is HD Aluminum Art Created?

To begin the process of creating our HD Aluminum art, the HD Aluminum sheets are treated with a special coating, which engineers them to be more scratch, chemical, and UV resistant in comparison to other materials in the market.
Next, the art image is printed onto a special transfer paper and then adhered to the pretreated aluminum sheet. The aluminum sheet and transfer paper are placed into a specialized heat press, which is heated to temperatures exceeding 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
While being subjected to extreme heat and pressure, the dyes from the transfer paper turn into a gas, are then pressed into the surface of the aluminum, and finally harden into the treated aluminum sheet.
As the dyes cool, they are permanently infused beneath the surface of the aluminum substrate. In a sense, they are baked into the aluminum pores. Your resulting HD aluminum art becomes extremely rigid and durable, yet lightweight and easy to hang.
The result is a vibrant and stunning piece of art.
